Roger was born in South Williamson, Kentucky in 1975. His family moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1989. After high school and a year of college, he enlisted in the Army where he served in California and Alaska. He moved back to Raleigh in 2001 where he currently resides with his two children, two dogs, and two cats.
Roger is currently enrolled in the Certificate in Documentary Arts program at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.
